Donations by ASSOBOM of school furnitures and clothing to an orphanage.

Dear members,

last Saturday August 21,we travelled to Mbalmayo (about 30 km out of the capital Yaoundé)to donate school furnitures and clothing to an orphanDge centre known as " SOS Village d'Enfants Cameroun". This centre has about 109 orphans aged 9 months- 17 years and coming all over Cameroon.ASSOBOM's team that was led by it's Founder president was warmly welcome by the Director of the Centre M. Mekolo Alphonse and a crowd of orphans who were already waiting for us.

We do hope that many students will be able to go to school as from September 2010 and have the opportunity to attend an education for a better future.

If you want to join us in that effort as we carry on our programs on behalf of the have not and hopeless, please let us know what you would like to do.

I've enclosed some pictures .

Together we can make a difference in Africa (Cameroon) with ASSOBOM

Sincerely

The founder President

Fundraising for orphans (August 15 ,2010)

Updates from the fundraising on behalf of orphans (15 August 2010)

Dear members , friends and sympathisers of ASSOBOM.

This Sunday 15 th August 2010 was the day of fundraising for ASSOBOM on behalf of an elected orphanage centre named SOS Village d’Enfants Cameroun . The Centre located in the outskirts of Mbalmayo, some 20 Km out of the Capital Yaounde has 109 orphans. The aim of the fundraising was to gather school furnitures for orphans to go to school as from September.

The fundraising was successful and held within the church. The following items were donated:
- Hygiene paper
- Pens, pencils and rulers
- Exercise books
- Pieces of chalk
- Clothes and shoes
- Cash donations too.
Many have promised to send their donations before August 21 deadline (Although you can still donate for other projects we are working on). A whole delegation will go to Mbalmayo next August 21 st to hand over the donations to the Centre.
Thanks very much for your support and we’ll keep you updated as we proceed.
