Feeding needy people and specifically children is one of our targets.We could also talk with Ahmadou, the head of the street children group about their needs.There are a lot of needs but we are optimistic because they want to attend an education and get skills for some.

ASSOBOM USING GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING AS A TOOL AGAINST POVERTY IN AFRICA-CAMEROON

Dear members and visitors,

ASSOBOM with the support of its Executive President Mr Okéné Richard (senior guidance counsellor) is putting Guidance and Counselling on behalf of students in Africa-Cameroon to help them fulfill their full potential.We believe that a way out of poverty is through education.Children should be taught the importance of attending an education, learn how to study and be guided in their studies and later on in the election of a vocation.There is a lot of potential but they are not used because of lack of information and support.Today,the Executive President and i met with the staff of a high school and a framework is being set to help the students.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Job heading: Volunteering position offer in the medical field

2) Job purpose: To help ASSOBOM reach orphans, widows, handicapped and needy people with sustainable health solutions.

3) Main duties and responsibilities: To provide basic health care to children and needy people and sensitise them on various health isues.

4)Dimensions: working with specific orphanages,health care centres and schools in cameroon.

5)Decision Making: The volunteer will set priorities according to his/her qualifications and means with ASSOBOM leadership

6)Problem solving: To help ASSOBOM carry on his health projects and others upon agreement

7)Costs : 500 euros/month for Room and Board + an additional 200 euros/month for transportation and miscellaneous expenditures.Total charge 700 euros.
-Bed-mosquitoes screens- air conditioning(upon availability)- 3 meals daily-transportation- Electricity 24/7- Clean water-modern toilet and bathroom

8) Duration: 3 months renewable
